About the role
- Monitor products, authorize cleaning releases, support trainings and investigations, and perform administrative and production line routines.
- Perform analyses of food safety processes and take appropriate action.
- Assist in the evaluation and interpretation of highly complex data, identifying issues with atypical test results and consulting with senior personnel.
- Troubleshoot problems by examining and evaluating data; select corrective actions.
- Support testing and experiments under the direction of more senior team members.
- Follow safe practices to protect yourself and others, ensuring workstations operate correctly, routinely participating in safety meetings, and performing preventive maintenance and calibration of complex standard equipment and instruments.
- Handle complex administrative, technical, or client support issues with minimal supervision, while escalating the most complex matters to the appropriate team.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Technical diploma or bachelor's degree in a related field
- Active registration with a relevant professional council (CREA, CRQ, or CRBio)
- Experience with food safety processes in an industrial/manufacturing environment
- Availability to work Monday through Saturday on the 2nd shift (3:00 PM to 11:10 PM)
- Knowledge of quality and food safety tools desirable (Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and HACCP)
