About the role
- Sets goals and objectives for the achievement of operational results for the team responsible for developing and delivering software projects while meeting quality standards and deadlines.
- Oversees and mentors the software engineering team to deliver against project planning and prioritization, coordinating with cross-functional teams and allocating resources effectively to achieve optimal efficiency.
- Leads the implementation of best in class industry standards and suggests continuous improvement options for the development process.
- Coordinates the planning, implementation and delivery of software projects, including resource allocation, to ensure they are completed on time and within scope.
- Reviews to ensure the quality and performance of software applications through rigorous testing, code reviews, and adherence to best in class industry standards.
- Coordinates collaboration with product managers, designers and other cross-functional teams to gather requirements, set priorities, and deliver resolutions to meet business objectives.
- Leads the creation and maintenance of comprehensive documentation for software applications, deployment processes and system configurations.
- Manages team members to achieve the organization's goals, by allocating resources, ensuring productivity, communicating performance expectations, creating goal alignment, giving feedback, providing coaching, measuring progress and holding people accountable, supporting employee development, recognizing achievement and lessons learned, and developing enabling conditions for talent to thrive in an inclusive team culture.
Requirements
- Minimum requirement of 4 years of relevant work experience.
- Typically reflects 5 years or more of relevant experience.
- 5 years experience partnering with business stakeholders to curate requirements and prioritize continuous improvement opportunities.
- 5 years experience with developing products and managing product development activities in Jira.
- 5 years experience with Cloud Application Development Lifecycle, Integrations, and Architecture.
- 5 years experience with development tools such as Jira, Captain, React, Java, Swift, Python, etc.
- Experience building and supporting AI products.
