About the role
- Lead strategic procurement of transportation services, focusing on Global Ocean Container Transportation and European Road Transportation.
- Develop sourcing strategies, negotiate contracts, and manage carrier performance.
- Conduct market analysis and benchmarking to identify trends and opportunities.
- Manage supplier relationships, including performance reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate sourcing data, contracts, and freight rate databases.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align sourcing decisions with business objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 4 years of experience in freight sourcing or transportation procurement.
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis and sourcing tools.
- Knowledge of ocean container and European road transportation markets.
- Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and ERP platforms.
- Familiarity with container industry practices and global trade regulations.
