About the role
- Develop, refine and execute complex tools, models and processes to forecast and describe impacts on production, supply and demand, relative value and global trends.
- Provide timely, accurate and actionable insights to the trading team and key clients.
- Partner with other analysts and team members to deliver complex analyses that maximize our competitive advantage.
- Develop, coordinate and support technology- and data-related initiatives for trading data analysis and broader initiatives in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Provide thought leadership on new data, technology, tools and innovation.
- Independently solve moderately complex problems with minimal supervision while escalating more complex issues to the appropriate team.
Requirements
- Proven ability to solve problems and implement solutions under tight deadlines
- Strong analytical reasoning and the ability to rapidly synthesize diverse information into accurate insights
- Agronomic knowledge and experience with commodity supply and demand fundamentals
- Understanding of trading and risk management and what information adds commercial value
- Ability to actively collaborate with global teams to build consensus around commercial strategy
- Other minimum qualifications may apply
- Proficiency in modeling, coding, data science and big data management
- Valid Category B driving license
- Experience with major row crops (soybean, corn, wheat or cotton)
