About the role
- Responsible for processing purchase orders, negotiating with suppliers, tracking orders, and maintaining inventory for stock and non-stock MRO items.
- Ensure critical items needed for Production and Maintenance are always in stock.
- Initiate PR/PO’s for production supplies, equipment related parts and supplies for maintenance.
- Receive and distribute all parts for Maintenance and Operations including safety stock parts
- Follow-up on past due orders
- Weekly cycle counts
- Maintain correspondence with vendors via phone and/or email
- Work with maintenance to understand and be proactive with their parts needs
- Maintain all new material to ensure inventory
- Handle basic issues while escalating more complex problems to appropriate staff
- Record and purchase all issue out material
- Organize parts storage
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Previous experience with Purchasing
- Previous experience with SAP
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in research and part identity
