Backend Engineer

• Perform routine analytical and laboratory tests in support of food safety quality and operational teams.
• Keep laboratory supplies ready by conducting inventory, placing orders, and verifying receipts.
• Assist in the evaluation and interpretation of high-complexity data, identifying issues with atypical test results and consulting with higher-level personnel.
• Resolve problems by examining and evaluating data; select corrective actions.
• Support testing and experiments under the direction of more senior team members.
• Use safe laboratory practices to protect yourself and others, ensuring workstations function properly, routinely participating in safety meetings, and performing preventive maintenance and calibration of complex standard equipment and instruments.
• Handle complex administrative, technical, or client-support issues with minimal supervision, escalating only the most complex matters to the appropriate team.
