Backend Engineer

• Perform routine analytical and laboratory tests to support food safety quality and operational teams.
• Conduct routine product testing (in-process and finished product), and verify and monitor instrument performance.
• Keep laboratory supplies ready by maintaining inventory, placing orders, and verifying receipts.
• Assist in the evaluation and interpretation of complex data, identifying issues with atypical test results and consulting with senior staff.
• Troubleshoot by reviewing and evaluating data; determine and implement corrective actions.
• Support testing and experiments under the guidance of more senior team members.
• Follow safe laboratory practices to protect yourself and others, ensure workstations are functioning properly, participate routinely in safety meetings, and perform preventive maintenance and calibration of complex standard equipment and instruments.
• Handle complex administrative, technical, or customer support issues with minimal supervision, escalating only the most complex issues to the appropriate team.
