About the role

  • Support Digital X-Ray Systems business as a Field Service Engineer based in San Antonio, TX
  • Customer relationship management through technical knowledge to install, troubleshoot, service, and maintain equipment at customer sites
  • Generate service revenue and adhere to state and federal regulatory requirements
  • Perform administrative duties: timesheets, service work orders, expense reports, Field Change Orders (FCO), preventative maintenance (PM), installation documents, and site/service documentation
  • Actively participate as a member of the regional work team and work to improve team processes
  • Service laser printers, networks, CR & DR X-ray imaging equipment, CT scanners, radio fluoroscopy equipment, and other hospital equipment
  • Service customers primarily in hospitals and imaging centers; may require overnight travel
  • Work from a home office; company provided vehicle, laptop, and cell phone included
  • Live within the San Antonio, Texas service area; occasional travel within a 4-5 hour radius (0-10%) with possible overnight stays

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in electronics or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • BSEE/BSEET/BSME/BSMET preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in diagnostic imaging OR 4+ years of experience in the electronics industry (preferably field service)
  • Knowledge of computers and networking
  • PC competency including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to understand and apply electronic, mechanical, and networking theory
  • Ability to use necessary tools and test equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and site drawings
  • Ability to understand and utilize technical vocabulary
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills; self-discipline and autonomy to work independently
  • Ability to adapt to changing work requirements
  • Ability to effectively operate in a team-driven environment
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Written and verbal communication skills with various levels of employees and customers
  • Valid driver’s license and driving record compliant with Fleet Policy
  • Customer certification/credentialing requirements (may include drug testing and immunizations)
