Assistant Vice President – Operations
CareStarAssistant Vice President of Operations managing clinical services at CareStar, overseeing program-specific operations and ensuring compliance with contracts. Leading strategic planning and developing staff for optimized care coordination.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Direct and lead program specific Clinical Services as assigned.
- Oversee responsibilities including business analytics, client relationships, assessments, case management, care coordination and sales.
- Ensure clinical services are effective and in compliance with the terms of all contracts held between CareStar clients.
- Oversee productivity and provide direction and overall management of assigned clinical operations including Directors, Clinical Managers, Supervisors, professional and administrative staff.
- Participate with senior management team in strategic planning and business development.
- Participate in the development of the Operational budget and manage operations in accordance with budget.
- Collaborate with clients, government agencies and other business entities to ensure that clinical services/practices meet expectations/standards.
- Plan, operationalize, implement, and evaluate initiatives required to meet the needs of individuals, staff, governmental agencies, and other business entities, and to meet contractual guidelines.
- Participate in the planning and presenting of in-service/training for clinical staff development ensuring that all clinical staff complete an orientation process and receive ongoing training, as needed.
- Adhere to the CareStar Rule in performance of job responsibilities.
- Understand and comply with CareStar Policies and Procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality as related to patient information.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Arts in Nursing, Social Services, or related field.
- Minimum of five years of management experience in providing or authorizing community-based social services, long-term care, or health support needs and/or health-related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years of leadership experience with demonstrated ability to motivate, lead, and develop staff.
- This position may require up to 50% travel to strengthen internal partnerships and support strategic business growth.
- Knowledge of State Medicare and Medicaid programs; knowledge of and experience with individuals with physical and developmental disabilities.
- Vision, creativity, and planning skills, as well as project development and evaluation experience.
- Effective communication skills, including familiarity with suite of Microsoft Office programs.
- Valid driver’s license and car insurance as required by State law.
