About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide telehealth and virtual care clinical triage assessments, health education, and other services to diverse patient and health plan member populations
  • Make independent clinical decisions on routine patient care matters at the RN’s license level
  • Provide patient-focused care and guidance by phone or online
  • Assess patient needs and deliver or direct patients to the appropriate level of care
  • Identify potential health problems and influence patients to make better health decisions
  • Communicate verbally and digitally with organizational clients and team members
  • Monitor performance using dashboard metrics and identify improvement opportunities
  • Participate in coaching sessions to improve performance
  • Document all patient/member interactions using management software

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of 3 years as a Registered Nurse with recent direct patient care experience
  • Three years preferred in a high-acuity setting such as ICU, CC, ER, med-surg, telemetry, telehealth, or telephonic triage
  • Must currently reside in one of the listed compact-license states: Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, New Hampshire, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Wisconsin, or Wyoming
  • Must hold a multi-state (compact), unrestricted RN license
  • Ability to become licensed in additional states as required
  • Must be bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Minimum associate degree from a two-year technical college or technical school, or diploma nursing program
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Ability to work full-time, 36–40 hours per week
  • Schedule includes at least two weekend days every two weeks
  • 100% attendance required
  • Home office must meet specified certification requirements
  • Must complete online assessments within 24–48 hours before the exam link expires
  • Strong clinical background, critical-thinking, quick-assessment, multitasking, attention-to-detail, interpersonal, problem-solving, empathy, advocacy, cultural-awareness, and rule-following abilities
