About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Sell contract maintenance programs for material handling equipment and catalog parts
- Pursue new business and develop key existing accounts in an assigned territory
- Analyze opportunities, identify key personnel, and develop business relationships through cold calls, presentations, and lead follow-up
- Develop sales strategies, proposals, and forecasts
- Conduct product demonstrations and sales presentations
- Prepare quotations, cost reports, performance reports, and customer correspondence
- Develop a territory management plan to maximize customer time, seek new business, and enhance customer retention
- Monitor customer satisfaction
- Maintain accurate records of sales calls, customer files, and sales activity using online resources
- Discuss sales activities with management
Requirements
What you’ll need- Less than 2 years of related experience
- High School diploma or equivalency
- Good communication, interpersonal, organizational, and computer skills
- Ability and willingness to work outside normal business hours to prepare for sales activities
- Business-to-business (B2B) experience
- Problem-solving capabilities
- Strong sense of urgency, responsibility, and self-motivation
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to work legally in the United States
- Individuals with temporary visas or who need sponsorship now or in the future are not eligible for hire
- Bachelor's degree in business management, marketing, entrepreneurship, professional selling, or related business program is a plus, not required
- Several years of successful sales experience is preferred/a plus
