About the role

  • Meet or exceed sales goals and financial performance of the Dock & Door product lines within a specified region.
  • Review Dock & Door lines and vendors to provide the best products for sales staff to promote.
  • Assist the regional branch management team in setting and obtaining Dock & Door budgets and sales goals.
  • Gather and provide market information to management as it relates to the current needs of customers and for providing insight into the future needs of the marketplace.
  • Report deficiencies at branch level and recommend corrective actions to implement.
  • This position reports to the General Manager Dock Door.
  • Make sales calls on large projects with the branch Dock & Door salespeople for the purpose of promoting assigned products as well as coaching individual salespeople the best methods of communicating product solutions that address potential customer’s Dock & Door needs.
  • Assist with specifications for accounts.
  • Provide training to field sales force on product features, advantages, and benefits, along with competitive product information.
  • Work in close collaboration with the company’s Branch Management to ensure proper procedures are being followed.
  • Train Branch Sales Management in identifying specific targeted industry segments and target accounts.
  • Participate in the recruiting, hiring, and training of Dock & Door salespeople at branches within region.
  • Plan, conduct and participate in sales meetings.
  • Initiate product review meetings with vendor representatives in conjunction with sales meetings.
  • May plan account strategy with territory salespeople individually or with other managers.
  • Confer with manufacturers’ representatives and maintain communications channels with key personnel.
  • Train salespeople in the quote presentation process and the preparation of proposals.
  • Participate in training of all Dock & Door products to ensure sales force and Dock & Door staff has sufficient product knowledge.
  • Develop consistent product representation and compensation in branches relative to Dock & Door products.
  • Oversee the allocation of resources relative to Dock & Door programs.
  • Review sales orders more than $100,000.00 to ensure accuracy and determine if terms and conditions of sale have been met.
  • Evaluate and adjust inventory levels of Dock & Door lines.
  • Collaborate with developing, designing, creating, and evaluating marketing tools to increase product awareness and sales of Dock & Door product offerings.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years related experience
  • Bachelors’ degree (Business, Sales, Marketing, Management).
  • Non-degree considered if 12+ years of related experience along with a high school diploma or GED
  • Extensive travel (up to 20%)
  • Extensive overnight stays (up to 20%)
  • Job requires employee to drive a personal vehicle to conduct company business > 20% per week (more than 8 hours) and an MVR is required.
  • Work Authorization: Crown will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States.
