About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead cross-functional engineering teams and own delivery for a defined product or platform area
Own sprint planning, execution, delivery quality, risk management, and committed-work accountability
Partner with Product and Design to turn roadmap priorities into executable plans
Improve Scrum/Agile processes, backlog readiness, estimation, velocity, throughput, cycle time, and team operating rhythm
Provide technical leadership across the modern web stack and cloud infrastructure
Review designs, architecture proposals, and critical code paths
Improve CI/CD, code review, observability, testing, and incident response practices
Use DORA metrics to identify bottlenecks and guide engineering improvements
Champion responsible AI adoption across the software development lifecycle and evaluate AI tooling
Manage, coach, and develop engineers through 1:1s, feedback, growth plans, hiring, onboarding, and retention
Mentor senior engineers and emerging technical leaders
Collaborate with U.S.-based stakeholders and Product, QA, DevOps, and business teams
Communicate tradeoffs, risks, and delivery status to technical and non-technical partners

Requirements

What you’ll need

6+ years in software engineering
2–4+ years leading teams as an Engineering Manager, Team Lead, or equivalent
Experience delivering production software in a SaaS, web platform, or product-led environment
Experience working with distributed or remote teams
Track record implementing or maturing Scrum/Agile practices
Strong full-stack JavaScript/TypeScript background
Hands-on experience with Node.js, React/Next.js, and API design and consumption
Experience running production workloads on a major cloud platform; AWS preferred
Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery workflows
Strong understanding of maintainable architecture, delivery tradeoffs, and engineering quality
Strong communication and coaching abilities
Ability to balance speed, quality, and business priorities
Ability to work deeply technically without becoming a bottleneck
Ability to remain calm under ambiguity in a fast-moving environment
Passion for AI and active experimentation with AI-assisted development
Successful completion of a background check, including criminal, prior employment, and education verification
Availability for night-shift hours flexible within 6:00 PM–7:00 AM PHT, with overlap with U.S. teams
