About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Review, revise, and manage contracts relating to the U.S. operations.
- Provide compliance advice and support.
- Draft and maintain internal policies and procedures for U.S. operations.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with U.S. tax requirements.
- Oversee employment law compliance and HR legal matters in the Philippines.
- Manage business registration and regulatory filings for Philippines operations.
- Ensure tax compliance and proper reporting for Philippine corporate and employment taxes.
- Draft and maintain internal policies tailored to the Philippines business unit.
- Conduct internal investigations.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Law degree and active license to practice in the Philippines.
- Located in the Philippines with night shift work hours (to overlap with U.S. team).
- Experience or formal education related to U.S. law is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with U.S. tax, compliance, employment and/or business law preferred.
- Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in identifying and resolving legal issues.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a remote U.S.-based team.
- A commitment to ethical, mission-driven legal practice.
