About the role
- Own the architecture and technical direction of AI platforms, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability.
- Define and enforce MLOps standards using SageMaker Projects, Pipelines, Registry, blue/green and shadow deployments, monitoring, drift detection, and rollback strategies.
- Ensure secure and compliant data access using IAM least privilege, KMS, and Lake Formation sharing patterns.
- Oversee CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure to support AI workloads.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Data Governance teams, and stakeholders to align platform capabilities with business objectives.
- Drive adoption of best practices for cloud architecture, deployment, and operational excellence.
- Mentor and lead technical teams in agile environments, fostering strong collaboration and technical growth.
Requirements
- Strong experience in cloud architecture, particularly AWS and Kubernetes.
- Expertise with AWS Bedrock and MLOps strategies, including SageMaker Studio Domains, Pipelines, and Endpoints.
- Deep understanding of data plane patterns, including Lake Formation, Glue, Athena, S3 layouts/partitions, and cross-account data sharing.
- Knowledge of security and compliance practices for AI platforms.
- Experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines for production ML systems.
- Proven stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience leading agile teams and driving technical initiatives.
- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable, secure AI platform solutions.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and mentoring abilities.
- Willingness and readiness to travel as required by project or client needs is expected.
