About the role

  • Migrate and transform existing data pipelines into AWS services (e.g., Glue, S3, Redshift, Athena, RDS).
  • Develop and maintain Python-based automation and ETL processes using tools such as Pandas, PySpark, and boto3.
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and security throughout the migration and transformation processes.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of an AWS-native architecture for self-service data modeling.
  • Integrate and optimize data models in Redshift (DWP2) and Athena for scalable analytics and reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data architects, developers, and business stakeholders.
  • Document solutions and provide handover and validation to business units.
  • Support centralized monitoring, governance, and security compliance in line with organizational standards.

Requirements

  • Proven hands-on experience with AWS data services (Glue, Redshift, Athena, S3, RDS).
  • Strong Python programming skills, including experience with data processing libraries (Pandas, PySpark, boto3).
  • Solid knowledge of ETL/ELT design, development, and optimization.
  • Experience with cloud-based data migration and transformation projects.
  • Understanding of data governance, quality assurance, and compliance practices.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (AWS CDK and Terraform).
  • Strong proficiency in SQL for building, optimizing, and maintaining data transformations.
  • Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
  • AWS certifications would be a strong advantage.
  • Willingness and readiness to travel as required by project or client needs is expected.
