About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist in all phases of litigation, including drafting pleadings, discovery requests and responses, motions, and trial preparation materials.
  • Conduct legal research and draft memoranda on a variety of labor and employment law issues.
  • Support senior attorneys in fact investigations, witness interviews, and the development of case strategy.
  • Prepare responses to administrative charges and complaints before agencies such as the EEOC, DFEH/CRD, and DLSE.
  • Draft and review employment-related documents, including workplace policies, employee handbooks, and employment agreements.
  • Participate in client meetings and calls, providing updates and supporting ongoing client communications.
  • Monitor changes in labor and employment laws and draft client alerts or updates under supervision.
  • Collaborate closely with partners and associates in a team-oriented environment, with opportunities for training and mentorship.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Member in good standing with the California Bar.
  • 1 - 4 years of experience in CA Labor & Employment Law
  • Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • 1900 billable hours
