About the role

  • Direct, mentor, and manage a robust pre-litigation team while fostering a culture of accountability and high performance
  • Actively participating in high-level case strategy, complex policy limit demands, and critical negotiations with insurance adjusters
  • Oversee the lifecycle of pre-litigation files from intake through medical treatment, demand generation, and settlement
  • Implement and monitor KPIs to ensure the department meets and exceeds settlement goals and operational metrics
  • Streamline processes to handle a high-volume caseload efficiently without sacrificing the quality of client care or case value
  • Ensure a seamless transition of cases to the litigation department when pre-litigation settlement cannot be reached

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar
  • Proven experience managing, training, and developing a legal team
  • Exceptional ability to evaluate case merits, identify medical and legal issues early, and build comprehensive strategies to maximize client recovery
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented work environment
  • Highly organized, results-driven, with excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
