About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage a high-value caseload of plaintiff elder abuse and neglect cases from inception through trial.
Conduct all phases of civil litigation, including drafting pleadings, propounding and responding to discovery, taking and defending depositions, and arguing motions.
Lead trial preparation and serve as lead or co-counsel in jury trials, arbitrations, and mediations.
Provide leadership, mentorship, and strategic direction to junior attorneys and support staff.
Negotiate maximum settlements on behalf of vulnerable clients and their families.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar
Minimum 5 years of litigation experience , preferably with elder abuse, medical negligence, or personal injury
Strong litigation background with the confidence to independently handle matters from inception through trial
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented work environment
Willingness and ability to travel throughout California for hearings, depositions, trials, and arbitrations.
