About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage a high-value caseload of plaintiff elder abuse and neglect cases from inception through trial.
  • Conduct all phases of civil litigation, including drafting pleadings, propounding and responding to discovery, taking and defending depositions, and arguing motions.
  • Lead trial preparation and serve as lead or co-counsel in jury trials, arbitrations, and mediations.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and strategic direction to junior attorneys and support staff.
  • Negotiate maximum settlements on behalf of vulnerable clients and their families.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar
  • Minimum 5 years of litigation experience , preferably with elder abuse, medical negligence, or personal injury
  • Strong litigation background with the confidence to independently handle matters from inception through trial
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented work environment
  • Willingness and ability to travel throughout California for hearings, depositions, trials, and arbitrations.
