💰 $225,000 - $260,000 per year
About the role
- Assist in all phases of litigation, including drafting pleadings, discovery requests and responses, motions, and trial preparation materials
- Conduct legal research and draft memoranda on a variety of labor and employment law issues
- Support senior attorneys in fact investigations, witness interviews, and the development of case strategy
- Prepare responses to administrative charges and complaints before agencies such as the EEOC, DFEH/CRD, and DLSE
- Draft and review employment-related documents, including workplace policies, employee handbooks, and employment agreements
- Participate in client meetings and calls, providing updates and supporting ongoing client communications
- Monitor changes in labor and employment laws and draft client alerts or updates under supervision
- Collaborate closely with partners and associates in a team-oriented environment, with opportunities for training and mentorship
Requirements
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Member in good standing with the California Bar
- 1 to 2 years of Employment advice and litigation in California
- Experience in wage-hour class actions, PAGA class actions, single-plaintiff and discrimination, harassment, and retaliation matters
- Non-compete/trade secret matters and traditional labor experience are a plus
- Excellent writing and analytical skills
- Strong academic background
- AmLaw Firm background preferred
