💰 $130,000 - $165,000 per year
About the role
- Assist in all phases of litigation, including drafting pleadings, discovery requests and responses, motions, and trial preparation materials.
- Conduct legal research and draft memoranda on a variety of labor and employment law issues.
- Support senior attorneys in fact investigations, witness interviews, and the development of case strategy.
- Prepare responses to administrative charges and complaints before agencies such as the EEOC, DFEH/CRD, and DLSE.
- Draft and review employment-related documents, including workplace policies, employee handbooks, and employment agreements.
- Participate in client meetings and calls, providing updates and supporting ongoing client communications.
- Monitor changes in labor and employment laws and draft client alerts or updates under supervision.
- Collaborate closely with partners and associates in a team-oriented environment, with opportunities for training and mentorship.
Requirements
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Member in good standing with the California Bar.
- 1 - 3 years of experience in CA Labor & Employment Law
- Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- 1900 billable hours
