Apply for this job Associate Attorney Career Consulting Partners is in search of a Probate, Trust, and Estate Litigation Attorney to work out of El Segundo, California. We have partnered with an award-winning mid-size firm serving businesses, individuals, trustees, and families across Southern California. We are seeking a Litigation Associate with 2–4 years of experience to join our growing team of attorneys. This is a unique opportunity to join a collaborative team of attorneys focused on delivering high-quality legal services with an emphasis on litigation. This position will primarily focus on Probate, Trust, and Estate Litigation matters (approximately 60–70% of the caseload), with the remaining exposure to Business law matters (approximately 30–40%). Please note: This is not an estate planning position. While some trust administration work may arise, the focus will remain on litigation. Ideal Candidate: We are seeking a candidate who can handle all aspects of Probate, Trust, and Estate Litigation cases from start to finish, including legal research, drafting of pleadings and motions, discovery, court appearances, and trial preparation Ability to handle Probate, Trust, and Estate Litigation matters, including draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and settlement agreements. Assist with select Business and Real Estate litigation matters as needed Represent beneficiaries, trustees, and executors in contested probate matters Work closely with managing partners and support staff on case strategy and client management Participate in case intake, client communications, and negotiations

Requirements

  • Member of the California Bar and in good standing
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  • 2–4 years of litigation experience with a strong emphasis or interest in Probate, Trust, and Estate litigation
  • Interest in cross-practice exposure to Business and Real Estate litigation is a plus, but not required
  • Comfortable managing multiple cases and deadlines
  • Team-oriented, proactive, and professional
  • Interest in long-term growth within a litigation-focused practice
