About the role

  • Responsible for budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning; preparation of P&L, balance sheet and management reports; and preparation for and support during audits.
  • Develop and maintain a rolling three-year plan, assess the financial impact of key decisions, and support fundraising and investor reporting.
  • Ensure financial transparency; monitor burn rate, runway and margins; closely align with Marketing and Product on unit economics and scaling.
  • Actively implement AI tools and workflows for reporting, forecast updates, process automation, contract review and administrative tasks.
  • Plan and lead expansion projects, including business case development, budgeting, setup of operational foundations, and coordination of internal and external stakeholders for a smooth rollout.
  • Build efficient processes and automations, identify and resolve bottlenecks, and establish clear structures for scalable growth.
  • Responsible for administrative HR matters including payroll and contracts, managing external partners, and ensuring clean internal processes.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance, manage insurance matters, maintain central company documents and governance fundamentals.

Requirements

  • Strong financial expertise with startup experience: Several years of experience in finance, controlling or corporate finance, ideally in a startup or high-growth environment.
  • AI as a core competency: You use AI to automate operational processes, analysis, reporting and forecasting, and can integrate tools into existing systems.
  • Strong strategic and operational skills: Able to develop financial strategy as well as work hands‑on in Excel and other tools to implement processes.
  • Data-driven & structured: High accuracy, strong analytical thinking, confident with forecasting models, cash planning and scenario analysis.
  • Business mindset: Understanding of unit economics, pricing, growth levers and capital structure—you think in value creation, not just costs.
  • Hands-on mentality: You build structures yourself and work pragmatically and solution-oriented, often without large teams.
  • Ownership & trusted advisor: High integrity, clear communication with management and investors, with a mid-term perspective to further scale the finance function.
