About the role

  • Financial Management & Reporting: Responsibility for budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow planning; preparation of P&L, balance sheet and management reports; preparation and coordination of audit matters.
  • Strategic Financial Planning: Build and maintain a rolling three‑year plan, assess the financial impact of key decisions, and support fundraising and investor reporting.
  • Cash & Unit Economics Control: Ensure financial transparency and oversight of burn rate, runway and margins; work closely with Marketing and Product on unit economics, profitability and scaling.
  • AI‑Driven Finance & Operations: Actively implement AI tools and workflows for reporting, forecast updates, process automation, contract review and administrative tasks.
  • Expansion & Scaling: Plan and lead expansion projects, including business case development, budgeting, setting up operational foundations, and coordinating internal and external stakeholders for a clean rollout.
  • Operational Excellence: Build efficient processes and automations, identify and resolve bottlenecks, and introduce clear structures to enable scalable growth.
  • General & Admin: Take responsibility for administrative HR matters including payroll and contracts, manage external partners and ensure robust internal operations.
  • Risk, Compliance & Governance: Ensure regulatory compliance, oversee insurance matters, and maintain central company documents and governance foundations.

Requirements

  • Deep financial expertise with startup experience: Several years of experience in finance, controlling or corporate finance, ideally in a startup or high‑growth environment.
  • AI as a core competency: You use AI to automate operational processes, analyses, reporting and forecasting, and can integrate AI tools into existing systems.
  • Strong strategic and operational skills: Able to develop financial strategy and also work hands‑on in Excel and other tools to implement processes.
  • Data‑driven & structured: High attention to detail, strong analytical thinking, confident handling of forecasting models, cash planning and scenario analyses.
  • Business mindset: Understanding of unit economics, pricing, growth levers and capital structure — you think in value creation, not just costs.
  • Hands‑on mentality: You build structures yourself, work pragmatically and solution‑oriented, often without large teams.
  • Ownership & trusted advisor: High integrity, clear communication with management and investors, with a mid‑term perspective to further scale the finance function.
