About the role
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Take and record vital signs, patient history, and other medical information.
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical instruments.
- Schedule patient appointments and manage patient records.
- Provide patient education and instructions as directed by healthcare providers.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and handle specimens appropriately.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and guidelines.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in healthcare delivery.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; certification or diploma from a Medical Assistant program is preferred.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and another language (e.g., Spanish, Mandarin, etc.).
- Proven experience working as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work efficiently.
- Basic computer skills and experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
