About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform remote order entry and CPOE order evaluation and verification
- Assure acquisition or renewal of all pharmacy staff licenses
- Perform as staff pharmacist as needed
- Provide physician and nursing consultations
- Deliver clinical medication dosing services
- Review and monitor profiles and lab values for therapeutic outcomes
- Coordinate access to medications according to facility policies and procedures and in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations
- Remotely service client patients and provide continuity of care
- Initially work a floating overnight schedule and eventually transition to a 7-on/7-off schedule
Requirements
What you’ll need- California pharmacist license is required
- Must reside in California
- Active pharmacy license(s) in state of residence and state of original licensure
- Ability to gain reciprocity to additional states required for practice
- Must be able to reciprocate license
- Active CA license and ability to become licensed in Nevada and Wyoming
- 2–4 years of clinical hospital inpatient experience preferred
- Computer savvy and able to operate multiple pharmacy information systems
- Excellent communication skills for interaction with healthcare professionals
- Ability to work an overnight schedule and eventually a 7-on/7-off schedule
