About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and execute a comprehensive regional sales strategy to achieve and exceed aggressive territory and customer-specific objectives for both new and existing business.
- Drive consistent sales execution, instilling discipline and accountability across your team.
- Provide reliable competitive intelligence to stakeholders, informing strategic decisions.
- Cultivate a high-performance sales culture through robust performance management, talent development, and continuous coaching.
- Actively engage with your team through regular field visits and customer interactions, providing hands-on guidance and support.
- Build, maintain, and enhance strategic relationships with key customers, understanding their needs and positioning Cardinal Health as a trusted partner.
- Owning the "escalation" and rebuilding trust with key stakeholders after a breakdown in service or trust.
- Leverage Cardinal Health’s CRM system to maintain accurate records, track business performance, monitor sales leads, and execute retention and expansion strategies.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal Cardinal Health teams to ensure seamless support and mutually beneficial outcomes across the segment.
- Stay abreast of the competitive landscape, market trends, and industry insights, effectively communicating these to internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of successful sales experience, with a strong preference for healthcare sales.
- Proven capacity to lead, motivate, and manage remote successful sales team.
- Experience in developing sales strategies, forecasting, and analyzing market trends.
- Applying structured methods to make high-stakes, rational decisions.
- Strong ability to analyze data, present to executives, and communicate complex technical or clinical information.
- Strong computer skills, including CRM tools like Salesforce.
- Strong matrix management skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to travel 50%.
- Must reside within the region.
