About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage a significant portfolio of suppliers supporting films and flexible materials for the Medical manufacturing network
Develops effective short and long-term category strategies to include supply chain continuity, risk management, optimizing supplier network and attaining best cost
Collaborate with and influence business partners in a highly matrixed environment to optimize key supplier performance and innovation
Influence business decisions to enter/exit product lines, drive make/buy decisions and implement supply in optimizations
Proactive leadership and management with cross-functional partners to effectively select suppliers, negotiate favorable contracts and manage supplier performance and relationships
Facilitates Supplier Relationship Management through development and tracking of Key Performance Indicators for the category; establishes collaborative environment with key suppliers and business partners to optimize supplier performance and innovation
Lead negotiation/implementation of Agreements; develops contract terms and conditions to elevate rates/terms and mitigate risk
Indirectly manages a team in the development and execution of global medical supply strategies to achieve best total value, sustainable productivity and high levels of quality and service aligned with business requirements
Deep stakeholder engagement to influence business decisions relevant to the category strategy
Drives annual cost savings through effective strategies and negotiations
Sets aggressive continuous improvement goals for assigned categories and explores a broad set of value levers to deliver through others on targets
Interact with subordinates, peers, customers, and suppliers at various management levels; may interact with senior management
Understand the Medical supplier portfolio risk profile and develop mitigation actions and plans.

Requirements

What you’ll need

8+ years of experience, preferred
Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
Expertise with contract requirements to negotiate critical terms and conditions in line with category strategy
Demonstrates a strong financial acumen
Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask
Ability to coach and develop a team in strategy development and sourcing execution
Superior interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills able to communicate effectively and interact with personnel at all levels of technical ability and expertise, as well as external suppliers.
