About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support delivery and ongoing enhancement of Siemens Opcenter Manufacturing Execution capabilities, including (but not limited to) electronic work instructions, equipment management, material management, genealogy/traceability, and process enforcement.
- Assist in the implementation and sustainment of a global enterprise Opcenter solution, ensuring consistency across sites.
- Build strong business partnerships and work collaboratively with cross-functional and technical teams.
- Gather business requirements and translate them into functional specifications, technical specifications, and validation documentation.
- Work with onshore/offshore development teams to execute configuration, customization, and solution delivery.
- Collaborate with enterprise architecture, quality, and IT teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Utilize SQL Server (experience with Oracle or other databases helpful) for queries, data analysis, and troubleshooting.
- Understand and operate within regulatory validation frameworks applicable to medical device manufacturing (e.g., FDA, GxP, 21 CFR Part 11).
- Configure and customize Opcenter MES modules, workflows, data collections, integration points, and UI elements.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred or equivalent work experience preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, MES, or related technical discipline.
- Working knowledge of two or more relevant technologies preferred (MES, ERP, integration platforms, SQL, etc.).
- Experience with Siemens Opcenter (Camstar) configuration, architecture, and implementation.
- Strong SQL Server experience; familiarity with Oracle, DB2, or similar database technologies is a plus.
- Experience validating and documenting MES configurations or equivalent regulated system implementations within a GxP/medical device environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
