About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Facilitate the cleaning and organization of all restaurant dishes, glassware, flatware, and basic cooking equipment
Return all clean wares to their appropriate locations
Maintain a functional and clean work area
Remove trash and recycling to appropriate receptacles
Understand safe operating levels for all cleaning chemicals used and possess the knowledge to test levels as needed
Understand basic scullery equipment and operations
Work in accordance with MBH as well as current health code standards
Assist in kitchen breakdown and setup, when applicable
Other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School diploma or GED
Must have valid WA State Food Handlers Permit
Possess the ability to be trained on, learn, and follow standard procedures
Possess the ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays
Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
Must be able to deal with multiple personalities in a high stress environment
Must work well in a team environment and individually
Ability to take direction and receive feedback
Must have problem solving abilities, be self-motivated, and organized
Possess the ability to work with others and independently to solve problems and create solutions
The individual must be able to transport up to 35 pounds on occasion and up to 50 pounds regularly
