About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Produce detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings, models, and layouts to support engineering and project delivery activities.
- Interpret design briefs, technical specifications, and site data to develop accurate and compliant drawings.
- Conduct regular site visits to gather measurements, verify conditions, and resolve design or construction challenges.
- Collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure designs meet functional, regulatory, and project requirements.
- Update and revise drawings throughout the project lifecycle, maintaining version control and documentation standards.
- Identify potential design or constructability issues early and propose practical solutions.
- Ensure all CAD outputs align with relevant industry standards, health & safety requirements, and company best practices.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven experience producing detailed technical drawings for real-world, site-based projects.
- Comfortable undertaking frequent site visits and working in active or operational environments.
- Excellent understanding of engineering principles, technical specifications, and design coordination.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership of tasks, and deliver to tight deadlines.
- Solid proficiency with industry-standard CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, or similar).
