About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Write, maintain, and run manual regression scripts.
  • Read and interpret business requirements and define test scenarios.
  • Provide test plans and testing estimates for project planning.
  • Complete testing phases to predefined quality standards and schedules.
  • Monitor error queues in test and production environments and investigate root causes.
  • Work within Agile Sprint and Kanban methodologies and contribute to relevant meetings.
  • Trial new testing tools and approaches and report findings and recommendations.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to design and implement test scripts.
  • Communicate defects clearly to development teams.
  • Replicate and investigate bugs raised by the wider business.
  • Ensure quality code is released into production for .NET and web applications.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level
  • Demonstrable experience working within an Agile methodology, including Sprint and Kanban
  • Good working knowledge of relevant testing techniques and processes
  • Experience testing web-based systems, including user interfaces/web screens and web services
  • Experience testing Windows-based applications
  • Working knowledge of Azure DevOps and branching
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines
  • Ability to interact confidently with technical and non-technical people
  • Demonstrable experience of test planning and reporting
  • Commitment to customer centricity across internal and external interactions
  • Ability to work in line with CBS core values
  • Desirable: .NET C# knowledge and ability to understand basic code
  • Desirable: SQL knowledge and ability to understand basic queries/code
  • Desirable: automation testing experience, such as Ranorex
  • Desirable: stress and load testing experience
  • Desirable: security/vulnerability testing experience, such as AppCheck
  • Desirable: basic understanding of .NET error logs
  • Successful applicants must undergo a basic DBS check before starting employment
