About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Identify business challenges and opportunities for improvement and make strategic or tactical recommendations using analysis
  • Perform modeling and analytics to support internal Compliance product development
  • Frame problems, develop hypotheses, test and analyze solutions, assess operational feasibility, lead implementation efforts, and develop monitoring plans
  • Use data to empower compliance testing, drive the enterprise complaint program, and improve customer experience
  • Partner with senior business and compliance leaders, Technology, Product, Risk Office, Legal, Risk Management, and other colleagues
  • Support Compliance organizations through strategic and analytical work
  • Ensure products remain innovative, compliant, and customer-centric

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least 2 years of professional experience performing analysis
  • Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a required degree expected by the scheduled start date
  • Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field or Master's Degree in a quantitative field/MBA with a quantitative concentration
  • Preferred: Master’s Degree in Business or a quantitative field
  • Preferred: 1+ years of experience in statistical model building
  • Preferred: 1+ years of experience in SQL querying and Python programming
  • Preferred: 2+ years of experience in business analysis
  • Preferred: 1+ years of experience in consulting
  • Capital One will consider sponsoring a new qualified applicant for employment authorization
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, communication, business judgment, leadership, integrity, and strategic influencing skills
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and dynamic environment
