About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Establish and automate software reclamation using SAMPro and other tools
  • Identify software non-use, communicate reclamation actions, revoke entitlements, and remove software installations
  • Perform routine compliance reconciliations to establish Effective License Positions (ELPs) for assigned software vendors
  • Analyze entitlement data against active installations to identify compliance gaps, financial exposure, or over-licensing
  • Compile technical data, reports, and documentation to support lead SAMs during formal vendor software audits
  • Normalize and match raw software discovery data from Jamf, SCCM, Intune, and Aternity
  • Resolve discrepancies between discovery feeds, procurement repositories, and user directories
  • Maintain software asset record integrity
  • Update software catalog entries, publisher names, and SKUs in the SAM repository
  • Author and maintain SOPs, process maps, operational guidelines, and end-to-end workflows for software requests, reclamation cycles, and license allocation

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
  • At least 6 years of experience using build and deployment tools (Jenkins, GitHub, or Artifactory)
  • At least 4 years of experience with AWS
  • At least 2 years of team leadership experience
  • 4+ years of direct, operational experience performing software asset management, license reconciliation, or data normalization within a structured SAM team (preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience with ServiceNow (preferred)
  • 2+ years of experience in the Service Now SAMPro module (preferred)
