About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Collaborate with tech teams to build comprehensive acceptance criteria and identify needs for additional research
Break down business epics into features and user stories, driving teams toward the lowest-effort or Minimal Viable Product (MVP) for valid feature testing
Use hypothesis-driven assessment of data to ensure products and features address real business needs
Own and prioritize feature development roadmaps while following processes and procedures to manage risk
Conduct research and develop features using new and evolving technology in an agile environment
Collaborate with designers, technologists, data scientists, and subject-matter experts to build solutions for customers
Deliver well-managed product platforms by understanding technology trends and architecture strategy
Participate in horizontal forums and build relationships among tech teams, designers, internal stakeholders, and partner teams
Articulate product roadmaps, deliver business value, share with stakeholders, elevate team results, and become a product matter expert
Help build Capital One’s Decisioning Platform for internal decisioning teams to build, test, launch, and scale critical decisions

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree or military experience
At least 1 year of product management experience OR at least 1 year of experience in product design, agile delivery, business analysis, data science, or software engineering
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering
Preferred: 1+ years translating business strategy or analysis into consumer facing digital products
Preferred: 1+ years of experience working on core product platforms powering digital experiences
Preferred: 1+ years working with cross functional teams as a product owner in an agile development process
