About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Collaborate with tech teams to build comprehensive acceptance criteria and identify needs for additional research
- Break down business epics into features and user stories, driving teams toward the lowest-effort or Minimal Viable Product (MVP) for valid feature testing
- Use hypothesis-driven assessment of data to ensure products and features address real business needs
- Own and prioritize feature development roadmaps while following processes and procedures to manage risk
- Conduct research and develop features using new and evolving technology in an agile environment
- Collaborate with designers, technologists, data scientists, and subject-matter experts to build solutions for customers
- Deliver well-managed product platforms by understanding technology trends and architecture strategy
- Participate in horizontal forums and build relationships among tech teams, designers, internal stakeholders, and partner teams
- Articulate product roadmaps, deliver business value, share with stakeholders, elevate team results, and become a product matter expert
- Help build Capital One’s Decisioning Platform for internal decisioning teams to build, test, launch, and scale critical decisions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or military experience
- At least 1 year of product management experience OR at least 1 year of experience in product design, agile delivery, business analysis, data science, or software engineering
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering
- Preferred: 1+ years translating business strategy or analysis into consumer facing digital products
- Preferred: 1+ years of experience working on core product platforms powering digital experiences
- Preferred: 1+ years working with cross functional teams as a product owner in an agile development process
