About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop business strategies driving growth, profitability, and competitive success for Capital One
- Manage and develop 1–2 analysts; coach and mentor associates
- Develop and implement product and pricing strategies for lending products
- Lead product-level modeling and analytics
- Lead direct-to-consumer marketing efforts and strategic intent for retail-channel products
- Build targeted insights for new customer experiences, technology, and go-to-market strategies
- Improve credit performance through consumer credit trend analysis, risk modeling, hypothesis testing, monitoring, and analysis
- Manage and sequence business intent delivery, build business requirements, and execute product strategy
- Oversee multiple projects and programs concurrently
- Partner with IT, Sales, Operations, Finance, and other Capital One teams to improve quality, volume, service, and profitability
- Oversee and challenge Capital One’s international business activities to manage international risk exposure
- Help the business navigate new international requirements and developments
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least 3 years of professional experience performing analysis
- Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field or Master's Degree in a quantitative field/MBA with a quantitative concentration, obtained or expected by the scheduled start date
- Preferred: Master's Degree with a quantitative focus
- Preferred: 5+ years of experience in analysis
- Preferred: 2+ years of experience in financial services
- Preferred: 1+ year of experience in country risk analysis
- Preferred: 1+ year of experience in consulting
- Proven track record of analytics-based decision making and problem solving
- Strong quantitative orientation, including analytic marketing and credit risk management
- Strong business judgment, leadership, and integrity
- People leadership experience and ability to build high-performing teams
- Strong executive written and oral communication, influencing, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
- Results orientation and ability to execute in uncertain and fluid environments
- Successful track record in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and dynamic environment
- Previous consulting experience is a plus
