About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Partner with cross-functional data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to deliver customer-focused products
- Leverage Python, Conda, AWS, H2O, Spark, and other technologies to uncover insights from large volumes of numeric and textual data
- Build machine learning models through design, training, evaluation, validation, and implementation
- Translate complex data science work into tangible business goals
- Research and evaluate emerging technologies and state-of-the-art methods
- Challenge conventional thinking and work with stakeholders to improve the status quo
- Develop talent for the team and beyond
Requirements
What you’ll need- Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a Bachelor's, Master's, MBA with a quantitative concentration, or PhD in a quantitative field, with the required degree obtained on or before the scheduled start date
- Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field plus 6 years of experience performing data analytics; or Master's Degree in a quantitative field or MBA with a quantitative concentration plus 4 years; or PhD in a quantitative field plus 1 year
- At least 1 year of experience leveraging open source programming languages for large scale data analysis
- At least 1 year of experience working with machine learning
- At least 1 year of experience utilizing relational databases
- Preferred: PhD in a STEM field plus 3 years of experience in model development
- Preferred: At least 4 years’ experience in Python, Scala, or R
- Preferred: At least 4 years’ experience with machine learning
- Preferred: At least 4 years’ experience with SQL
- Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), embedding models, and vector databases
- Experience designing and implementing AI workflows and autonomous AI agents
