About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own reporting and forecasting for Capital One’s marketing expenses
Manage P&L performance and provide Card Leadership with financial insights to influence strategy and drive business outcomes
Formulate and articulate analytics and insights as a compelling financial story
Identify and address potential financial risks and opportunities
Foster trusted relationships with peers and senior leaders
Perform financial reporting and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and P&L management
Coordinate and collect input data from Financial Analysts in different departments
Check data integrity, summarize and convert data, run models, verify and analyze output data
Assist in developing presentations communicating analysis results to senior audiences
Handle ad-hoc requests and special projects
Independently manage and prioritize workload
Prepare P&L and other statements through financial data analysis
Create reports for higher-level associates
Provide management and business clients with project statuses
Support reporting and analysis for presentations and ad-hoc requests

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
At least 4 years of experience in financial analysis, financial modeling, or a combination
Preferred: Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA)
Preferred: Accounting, Finance, or Economics
Preferred: Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) license or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
Preferred: At least 5 years of experience in financial analysis, modeling, or a combination
