About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own reporting and forecasting for Capital One’s marketing expenses
- Manage P&L performance and provide Card Leadership with financial insights to influence strategy and drive business outcomes
- Formulate and articulate analytics and insights as a compelling financial story
- Identify and address potential financial risks and opportunities
- Foster trusted relationships with peers and senior leaders
- Perform financial reporting and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and P&L management
- Coordinate and collect input data from Financial Analysts in different departments
- Check data integrity, summarize and convert data, run models, verify and analyze output data
- Assist in developing presentations communicating analysis results to senior audiences
- Handle ad-hoc requests and special projects
- Independently manage and prioritize workload
- Prepare P&L and other statements through financial data analysis
- Create reports for higher-level associates
- Provide management and business clients with project statuses
- Support reporting and analysis for presentations and ad-hoc requests
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
- At least 4 years of experience in financial analysis, financial modeling, or a combination
- Preferred: Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA)
- Preferred: Accounting, Finance, or Economics
- Preferred: Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) license or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
- Preferred: At least 5 years of experience in financial analysis, modeling, or a combination
