About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the vertical risk management function for Card Data & Platforms, covering data management, data products, and platform controls
Lead a team of Vertical Risk Managers
Act as a thought leader across the enterprise to develop and implement Risk solutions
Work with business partners to validate risk processes impacting the company's bottom line
Consult with Executives to determine interaction models with Lines of Business
Drive finalization of risk category and subcategory frameworks
Perform critical assessments on risk categories to mitigate company risk
Conduct extensive gap assessments and create recommendations for business decisions
Use analytical skills for Risk Process Improvement, Process Design, and Process Excellence
Manage large-scale process management and governance
Work with dynamic teams on departmental process management and execution
Partner with Executives and lines of business to drive organizational change and improve risk management

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
At least 7 years of experience working in risk management in financial services or technology
At least 5 years of program management experience
At least 5 years supporting, partnering, and interacting with internal business clients
At least 5 years of people management experience
At least 3 years of experience in reporting and analyzing data
At least 2 years of data risk management or data product management experience
Preferred: Master’s Degree
Preferred: 7+ years of Financial Services or Technology risk management experience
Preferred: 7+ years of experience in Project or Process Management
Preferred: 5+ years of internal strategy or management consulting experience leading cross-functional financial services projects and programs
Preferred: 7+ years of people management experience
Preferred: 5+ years of experience in reporting and analyzing data
Preferred: 3+ years of experience in data risk management or data product management
