About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare and review accounting activities, including journal entries and reconciliations
- Support and prepare external SEC and regulatory reports
- Document and present results to management and senior leadership
- Perform variance analysis, financial statement risk identification, and issue resolution
- Ensure accounting and reporting practices and documentation comply with corporate policies and procedures
- Perform periodic financial-performance analysis and reporting for stakeholders and management
- Respond to requests from other departments and conduct research
- Participate in Treasury projects involving technology and data transformation, process improvement, and business initiatives
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to resolve issues and stay informed about process or product changes
- Provide ad hoc analysis to management
- Support audit, risk, and compliance groups when necessary
- Manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or military experience
- At least 1 year of experience in accounting, external financial reporting, audit, finance, or a combination
- At least 1 year of experience with Google Office or Microsoft Office products, or a combination
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
- Preferred: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
- Preferred: 2+ years of experience in accounting, external financial reporting, audit, or finance, or a combination
- Preferred: 1+ year of experience in QuickSight, Python, SQL, or a combination
- Preferred: 1+ year of experience in banking, reconciliation, or a combination
