About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Serve as a platform risk subject matter expert for technology platforms, ensuring new features and enhancements align with risk appetite, internal governance, and tenancy needs
Evaluate and influence technology changes and change management processes to identify, assess, and communicate technology and compliance risks
Collaborate with product, users, compliance, legal, information technology, and audit stakeholders to advance platform enhancements
Identify and oversee technology change risk, provide constructive challenge, and make strategic recommendations and prioritization inputs
Author and revise policies, procedures, controls, assessments, and reports for senior leadership and stakeholders
Identify, assess, and report risks as a member of the Card division's first line of defense
Challenge existing technology processes, capabilities, and platforms, including multi-tenancy risks, platform enhancement designs, automated tools, and improved processes

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree or military experience
At least 3 years of experience in Risk Management, Project Management, Process Management, Compliance or Audit
At least 3 years of experience supporting, partnering and interacting with internal business clients
At least 2 years of experience interacting with internal audit, federal regulators, or government agencies
Critical-thinking ability and intellectual curiosity
Ability to understand technology, business usage, processes, risks, and control environments
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Preferred: Masters Degree or MBA
Preferred: 5+ years of experience in Risk Management, Project/Process Management, Compliance or Audit
Preferred: 3+ years of process or Project Management or related experience leading cross-functional projects and programs
Preferred: Risk Management Certifications, including CRMA, CRMP, CRCM, and FRM
