About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop Android client code solutions aligned with Product Strategy and engineering best practices
Partner with Software Engineers, UX/UI, Quality Engineers, Product Owners, and Analysts to deliver high-performing customer experiences
Participate in Agile ceremonies and ensure team commitments are delivered on time and with high quality
Advocate for the mobile platform through internal and external developer communities
Maintain active learning in mobile development technologies including Kotlin, Swift, and third-party libraries
Influence group discussions and incorporate broader team feedback
Mentor junior- to mid-level team members
Engage with developers across Android, iOS, APIs, Web, and other disciplines
Lead delivery of major components and platform needs with Senior Engineers and Architects
Share best practices and improve processes across sprint teams
Identify technical obstacles and develop creative solutions with the team
Review pull requests and ensure adherence to Kotlin and other language idioms
Provide subject-matter-expert leadership for technical development of a mobile development team

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree
At least 6 years of professional software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply
At least 4 years of experience building Android applications
At least 3 years of experience with Kotlin
Capital One will consider sponsoring a new qualified applicant for employment authorization
