About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and guide a team of developers experienced in distributed microservices and full stack systems
Collaborate with digital product managers to design and deliver robust cloud-based solutions driving personalized omnichannel experiences
Direct the design, development, testing, and implementation of technical solutions using AI technologies, large language models, and cloud infrastructure
Ensure sound data design practices are applied
Use Java, JavaScript, Python, Go, modern cloud infrastructure, and AWS ecosystems to deliver high-performance software solutions
Mentor engineers and champion the growth of the engineering community
Conduct rigorous code reviews to ensure solutions are performant and maintainable

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree
At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply
At least 1 year of experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
Preferred: Master’s Degree
Preferred: 7+ years of experience in Java, JavaScript, Python, Go, TypeScript, or SQL
Preferred: 3+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service
Preferred: 4+ years of experience with various open source frameworks
Preferred: 4+ years of experience leading technical direction and executing large-scale projects across multiple engineering teams
Preferred: 2+ years of experience in Agile practices
Preferred: 1+ years of experience with big data ETL using Dataflow, AWS Glue, or Databricks
Preferred: 1+ years of experience using Generative AI coding tools and advanced LLM capabilities, such as Claude Code
Preferred: 1+ years of experience in prompt engineering or developing AI-enhanced features
Experience utilizing advanced AI tooling and LLM capabilities to drive engineering productivity and innovation
