About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead delivery of high-priority initiatives and work streams across Business Cards and Payments and Capital One, directly and through a team of project managers
Design, develop, and manage project plans and delivery roadmaps in a complex, dynamic environment
Partner with project customers to provide strategic and tactical recommendations supporting project delivery
Drive solutions to complex problems across cross-functional teams and navigate trade-offs between competing priorities
Manage a large set of stakeholders
Effectively manage scope, schedule, resources, and budget
Communicate program status, impediments, and risks/issues across all organizational levels
Deliver results and influence business outcomes across the organization
Influence and manage stakeholders and intent owners ranging from VP+ to associates
Lead, coach, and develop a team of project managers and associates

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
At least 6 years of Project Management or Program Management experience
At least 2 years of People Management experience
Proven track record of excellent project management in dynamic, complex environments
Outstanding influencing skills to drive project and program efforts
Passion for coaching and developing associates
Excellent communication and partnership skills
Preferred: Master’s or MBA degree
Preferred: 8+ years of Project Management or Program Management experience
Preferred: 2+ years of Product Management experience
Preferred: 4+ years of People Management experience
Preferred: PMP, Lean, Agile, or Six Sigma certification
Strong written and oral communication skills
