About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Spearhead a high-impact assessment team for the Card business
  • Architect and drive assessments of products, processes, and business units
  • Serve as a primary catalyst for the Enterprise Risk Identification process
  • Lead the evolution of the risk assessment program by leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) and data-driven technologies
  • Help lead the transition from traditional, point-in-time reviews to always-on, insight-driven practices
  • Foster an inclusive, collaborative team culture focusing on associate growth, mentorship, and career advancement
  • Connect assessment insights across broader risk programs
  • Drive end-to-end strategy and transformation of assessment programs as a business owner
  • Champion continuous innovation by questioning legacy methodologies and breaking down operational bottlenecks
  • Serve as a trusted advisor across lines of business and risk communities
  • Analyze complex risk data and proactively identify emerging risks, trends, and process improvement opportunities
  • Prepare strategic presentations and reporting materials for senior management and risk governance forums

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience
  • At least 7 years of experience in Risk Management or Financial Services
  • At least 5 years of experience leading and developing teams in a direct people management capacity
  • At least 5 years of experience managing programs, process improvement, or strategic transformation initiatives
  • At least 5 years of experience interacting with, consulting, and influencing business partners and executive stakeholders
  • Master’s Degree preferred
  • 7+ years of Financial Services risk management experience, specifically within process level assessments, RCSA, or risk identification frameworks
  • Hands-on experience applying Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or advanced data analytics to risk management strategies and processes
  • Proven track record of challenging traditional processes, designing continuous risk practices, and implementing innovative solutions
  • 7+ years of people management experience with a deep passion for talent development and coaching
  • Exceptional communication, strategic presentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
