Key responsibilities & impact

Operate with autonomy and limited supervision in overseeing and managing operational aspects of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac multifamily mortgage loan closings
Analyze issues and process information for sound decision making
Maintain close communication with customers, originators, third party vendors, and underwriters for proper and timely settlement
Guide deal team through transaction-specific matters for timely and accurate completion
Send written requests or clear verbal communications with customers, attorneys, and other third parties to obtain additional information as needed
Independently comprehend and assess new information regarding investor and underwriting guidelines
Collaborate closely with Underwriting and Legal to address transaction-specific issues
Review title requirements for state-specific mortgage attachments and/or state mortgage tax requirements
Gather and prepare information for completion of closing documents
Review final settlement statement and Disbursement Ledger for accuracy and compliance
Follow up with closing/escrow agent to verify settlement of loan and disbursement of funds

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree or Military experience
At least 4 years of Agency Commercial Mortgage loan closing experience
5+ years of Agency Commercial Mortgage loan closing experience preferred
5+ years of Affordable Multifamily Products closing experience preferred
