About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Directly oversee and lead the execution of the enterprise crisis management process during live incidents and events
  • Drive rapid response, effective mitigation, and exercising sound judgment to escalate critical issues to senior leadership seamlessly
  • Cultivate high-impact relationships and facilitate seamless collaboration across the enterprise with internal partners and technology teams
  • Direct the development and maintenance of formal crisis processes and documentation
  • Ensure rigorous adherence to internal policies, standards, regulatory guidance, and industry best practices
  • Actively identify and implement innovative solutions to automate manual workflows
  • Hold a high bar for the holistic delivery of the crisis management lifecycle
  • Overseeing comprehensive planning efforts, robust training and exercise development, and rigorous post-incident reviews (AARs)
  • Ensure the development, governance, and delivery of a comprehensive, long-term strategy for the enterprise mass notification system
  • Leverage data, analytics, and operational metrics to provide clear, actionable reporting to senior leadership and executives regarding program health, incident trends, and risk mitigation efforts
  • Act as the foremost Subject Matter Expert (SME) for enterprise crisis management

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
  • At least 5 years of experience leading a risk function in emergency or crisis management program or a combination of both
  • At least 7 years of experience in project, program, or process management
  • At least 7 years of experience supporting, partnering, and interacting with internal and external business clients
  • At least 7 years of experience in executive-level consulting for strategy development
  • 7+ years of experience in crisis management, business continuity, or a combination
  • 5+ years of experience in financial services risk management
  • Possess CBCP, CEM, or CRISC certification
  • Experience with ISO 22301 principles
  • Proven experience in fast-paced environments
  • Experience leading cross-functional discussions across all seniority levels
  • Proficiency in controls development, risk management, and reporting activities
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities in shifting priority environments
