About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drive impactful and innovative learning solutions for Capital One’s Job Family Learning team
- Partner with the business to translate intent into effective learning products using a customer-focused, iterative approach
- Independently solve problems
- Elevate talent through the creation of learning products and assets
- Manage multiple complex learning initiatives with minimal oversight
- Leverage learning science and UX principles to design engaging and effective learning experiences
- Use feedback and defined metrics to continuously improve learning solutions and measure their real-world performance outcomes
- Balance learner perspectives with business needs to deliver scalable and valuable learning solutions
- Actively share best practices, identify efficiencies, and fully participate in team ceremonies
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience educating, onboarding, or supporting more technical roles such as product, tech, design or other technical talent or at a tech-forward organization
- High level of initiative, ownership, and a customer-centric mindset
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to influence partners
- Ability to manage ambiguity, lead through change, and deliver in a matrixed environment
- Partner with subject matter experts to identify learning objectives and define the scope of instructional initiatives for maximum business impact
- Partner with other Learning & Development professionals across the Enterprise to gain efficiencies, share best practices, and optimize how we interact
- Leverage expertise in adult learning to create high-quality and engaging learning experiences
- Bachelor's degree or military experience
- At least 2 years of experience in training design or development delivery, or a combination of both
- At least 1 year of experience with multimedia authoring tools like Articulate 360 or other online interactive e-Learning courseware
- At least 1 year of experience applying instructional design in digital modalities
- 1+ year of experience guiding learning solutions in a corporate setting (preferred)
- 1+ year of experience with mobile content creation/curation and delivery (preferred)
- 1+ year of experience using multimedia tools (Adobe Premiere, Camtasia, or similar) (preferred)
- 1+ year of experience working with graphics tools (Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, or similar) (preferred)
- 1+ year of experience in project management (preferred)
