About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Work with business teams and other key stakeholders to help develop well-designed products, processes, marketing, and supporting technologies and implement risk management practices; support our business partners on risk / return trade-off decisions
  • Lead LAUNCH change governance for new intent across technology platforms/products
  • Partner with the business to establish AI guardrails and risk controls for AI Servicing Initiatives
  • Perform risk reviews during various processes such as Risk Control and Self Assessments (RCSAs), Independent Compliance Transaction Testing (ICTT), Exceptions, Applications, Targeted Risk Assessments and recommend on risk mitigation activities
  • Influence leaders within Tech, Compliance, Cyber Security, second line risk organizations, and Internal Audit on key technology risks and actions needed
  • Lead risk framework discussions and drive creative solutions to improve the risk profile
  • Participate in risk forums and business reporting routines and contribute to continuous improvement of risk management practices
  • Lead ad-hoc projects to improve processes or control environment to mitigate risks
  • Synthesize data and reporting; perform analysis and bring valuable proactive business insights through evaluation of data provided by team analysts
  • Drive and deliver results and improvements in line with the business’ well managed and risk agendas
  • Stay abreast of the changing technology and regulatory environment and understand the impacts to the business areas that you support
  • Collaborate effectively across multiple levels and organizations
  • Collaborate effectively between risk, compliance and other business support functions (e.g., legal, privacy) (e.g., operations, risk management, enterprise management, etc.) to achieve objectives and support the organization in delivering on top priorities in a timely and efficient manner
  • Support, partner, and interact with internal business clients
  • Build relationship and collaborate with key stakeholders, driving cross-functional opportunities to grow brand, processes and an enhanced risk management environment
  • Set direction, manages expectations and lead cross-functional teams

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience
  • At least 5 years of experience working in risk management or financial services
  • At least 5 years of experience developing, evaluating or implementing cybersecurity, technology or risk assessment activities
  • At least 4 years of program management experience
  • At least 4 years of experience supporting, partnering and interacting with internal business clients
  • At least 2 years of experience driving change governance frameworks for technical platforms and managing deployment risks for net-new platform builds
  • Masters Degree (preferred)
  • 6+ years of Project Management experience leading cross functional projects and programs in Risk (preferred)
  • 6+ years of program management experience leading cross functional risk programs (preferred)
  • 6+ years of financial services risk management experience (preferred)
  • 3+ years of experience identifying, assessing, and mitigating compliance and operational risks associated with AI deployments (preferred)
  • 3+ years experience in Agile or design thinking (preferred)
  • 4+ years of Compliance, Legal, Audit, or first or second line Risk Management experience (preferred)
  • 4+ years of Project or Process Management experience (preferred)
  • 3+ years of experience in reporting and analyzing data (preferred)
  • Certified Risk Management Assurance (CRMA) or Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) (preferred)
  • PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification (preferred)
