About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Directly support vertical risk managers and accountable executives for the Upmarket and Discover Card business segments
Execute critical risk management activities both with and independent of the vertical risk manager
Coordinate, influence, and negotiate priorities with teams to ensure well managed goals/timelines are met; escalating when appropriate
Establish strong interaction models and relationships to collaborate and consult with key stakeholders
Collect data and information and use analytics and reporting to develop risk transparency to senior leadership and executives
Develop strong business acumen to appropriately represent the business to 2nd and 3rd line of defense partners
Develop and maintain formal process documentation including procedures, playbooks, and process flow diagrams that demonstrate the well managed infrastructure

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification
At least 1 year of experience in financial services, project or process management, or combination
Bachelor’s Degree or military experience preferred
2+ years of experience in project or process management preferred
1+ years of experience in risk management preferred
2+ years of experience in presentation or communication preferred
1+ years of experience in change management preferred
